When Grand is Just Simply Grand!

We loved working with our client of this gorgeous home it was just an absolute treat....initially due to the original black white marble tiles on entry...oh just beautiful.....that doesn't sound like us does it??? However we composed ourselves & you will notice the palette develops into warm sisal's & rich colours with loads of textures.....! In the formal lounge / dining note the variations in pattern we have used....the room feels warm & cosy & almost feels like you are in a country retreat far away however you are right in the middle of Sydney....

All I can say is that I am going to take up reading in this bedroom....well do magazines count?? I just want to curl up on the wing chair! Our brief in this space was glamorous but not too feminine....my solution...Queen Anne bed head with antique studding.....linens with leathers.....coral with wrought iron....get my drift?

I feel the need to open a fabulous Shiraz...& indulge with brie that is melting on a cheese board...or why not the table? The more rustic the greater the character?

Some pieces just are meant to be?

This project has been an absolute pleasure to work on....firstly our client was open minded regarding pattern, colour & texture....& she was just a gem....! To embrace full length William Morris curtains (with a drop of almost 4m!!!....can you see why I am in decorator heaven!!) was brave & bold....however when you look at the shots it is so easy & pleasant...if you saw the small swatch I am sure most would steer clear....risks = pure bliss!

Hello lovers!!!

It has been a while but it's Friday & I am feeling like you deserve to meet our latest client...the beautiful Rhonda & her home...oh & her wonderful family too!!

Where do I start....if you knew Rhonda this interior is really just a reflection on her fabulousness (not sure if that is a word...) She embraced colour, pattern & design....everything DITC stands for...her request was that every space had to feel amazing & have it's own personality. So...we combined wallpapers, fabrics, cabinetry, mirrors, Caesar stone's latest stone Crocodile Motivo...OMG amazing, tiles, stones, timbers, glass, steel...UMMM what more could one want???

If we focus on the laundry for s split second....who else would love a hot pink & black space???...then to the master ensuite...black & white stripe tiles with hot pink bisazza tiles....hot pink make up space....can you believe her husband allowed us??? Well three against one...what do you do??? jokes!!

There is still more to come...we have to invite you on the tour of the outside.....TBC...

And a little small thank you to Rhonda, we had so sooo much enjoyment with designing your home...you are such a beautiful person (not only our client) & the last year has been an absolute pleasure, you will be a friend for life.....& yes Monday's & Martini's is a must!!

In our league....

So what does a blank canvas look like?? It looks like a client that has complete faith in you...therefore you have the ability to take them out of the norm & provide an interior that excites & is just out of their league of thinking, pardon the pun!!... We met our adorable client Sam Burgess about three months ago & had an absolute fabulous time creating the perfect interior for him...Sophisticated yet cool & naturally playful to match his adorable personality.....Our Vivienne Westwood went to the perfect home, the studio feels lonely without the flag....Sammy B & Vivienne match made in heaven...

Enjoy the eclectic array of pieces...notice that we tried not to be too "matchy matchy"....we wanted the pieces to all stand out on their own......So brands we just had to use...Designer Rugs, Pony Rider (google this brand...Its my fav at the moment)....Mokum, Marco, Designer Boys....name drop name drop....

Does Size Matter???

Well in the case of this fabulous bathroom....it does! Smaller the better for this bathroom....can you believe we fit actually fit a bath in this space????? Look at the sneaky cabinetry all custom designed behind the bisazza tiles.....mmmm LOVE...or perhaps the wrap of Caesar Stones Mosaici Carbone!

The only other key point...notice what a difference a beautiful tile cut makes....seamless.....I think it could be time for a few more spectacular bathrooms.........next edition you won't believe what we have got up too....oops....

Let's just say a splash of pink....never goes astray....with a dash or our fav black & white!

Can we talk about brands....I love to name drop every now & then....how can you resist the above....we have Ralph Lauren, Designers Guild, Vivien Westwood, Meizai, Bally (ok not original...but Bally is just the fav of the month...no year), Etre......I am just loving the start to 2011 surrounded by fabulousness (is that a word?)

Hello.....New Home

Graze.....

Graze....our latest project.... Ok Ok Ok first of all bloggers it is a must to go & have dinner here 182 Harris St, Pyrmont (opening hours Wed-Sun nights....Sonia & I dined a couple of weeks ago & were blown away....my recommendation would be the Cauliflower Milkshake served with toasted taleggio cheese and jamon - I know sounds a little strange but AMAZING...I think I was in love with the presentation....but I will leave that surprise for you!

Look to the left & you will notice the key feature.....this stunning pendant from Reni Kung....please please just at least take the time to walk past to see it's beauty....I read on Reni's website a quote from her "

" I observe light and appreciate the effect it has on me - the filtration in nature, its quiet movements. It stimulates and comforts at once. That's what I seek to capture. "

Take it from us this statement truly comes alive & has really captured the essence of Graze...

One last little mention is the wallpaper....how is it that sometimes for the right client you find the right or should I say perfect piece of artwork...look at the October Hay...how lucky we were! Oh and make sure to take your party upstairs where you can sneak a peak at Polo Ralph Lauren Textured Wallpaper....ohhh Ralph...
