When Grand is Just Simply Grand!

We loved working with our client of this gorgeous home it was just an absolute treat....initially due to the original black white marble tiles on entry...oh just beautiful.....that doesn't sound like us does it??? However we composed ourselves & you will notice the palette develops into warm sisal's & rich colours with loads of textures.....! In the formal lounge / dining note the variations in pattern we have used....the room feels warm & cosy & almost feels like you are in a country retreat far away however you are right in the middle of Sydney....

All I can say is that I am going to take up reading in this bedroom....well do magazines count?? I just want to curl up on the wing chair! Our brief in this space was glamorous but not too feminine....my solution...Queen Anne bed head with antique studding.....linens with leathers.....coral with wrought iron....get my drift?

I feel the need to open a fabulous Shiraz...& indulge with brie that is melting on a cheese board...or why not the table? The more rustic the greater the character?

Some pieces just are meant to be?

This project has been an absolute pleasure to work on....firstly our client was open minded regarding pattern, colour & texture....& she was just a gem....! To embrace full length William Morris curtains (with a drop of almost 4m!!!....can you see why I am in decorator heaven!!) was brave & bold....however when you look at the shots it is so easy & pleasant...if you saw the small swatch I am sure most would steer clear....risks = pure bliss!
