Graze.....

Graze....our latest project.... Ok Ok Ok first of all bloggers it is a must to go & have dinner here 182 Harris St, Pyrmont (opening hours Wed-Sun nights....Sonia & I dined a couple of weeks ago & were blown away....my recommendation would be the Cauliflower Milkshake served with toasted taleggio cheese and jamon - I know sounds a little strange but AMAZING...I think I was in love with the presentation....but I will leave that surprise for you!
Look to the left & you will notice the key feature.....this stunning pendant from Reni Kung....please please just at least take the time to walk past to see it's beauty....I read on Reni's website a quote from her "
" I observe light and appreciate the effect it has on me - the filtration in nature, its quiet movements. It stimulates and comforts at once. That's what I seek to capture. "
Take it from us this statement truly comes alive & has really captured the essence of Graze...
One last little mention is the wallpaper....how is it that sometimes for the right client you find the right or should I say perfect piece of artwork...look at the October Hay...how lucky we were! Oh and make sure to take your party upstairs where you can sneak a peak at Polo Ralph Lauren Textured Wallpaper....ohhh Ralph...

When Black is Black White is White & Every other shade is PINK...

"Studio"...as the Italians call it...this is our clients Study....or perhaps a trip to Venice whilst in the office...So we played on black & white (our fav) & highlighted with an injection of pink in heavy satin goblet pleated curtains! The use of Ralph Lauren Stripes mixed with Cole & Sons Fornasetti Riflesso wallpaper dominates this space - right??? We don't think so its a perfect demonstration that an extremely busy pattern can be tamed with the use of solids....and solid this curtain is....one of my favourite weekly jobs is visting our soft furnishings workroom.....we always have fabulous ideas on how we want to construct a curtain....we describe to our client they approve....and then WAIT...our workroom looks at us thinking "are you serious" These curtains are sooo heavy I think they broke about ten needles using the machine...then to get the perfect goblet - everything was completed by hand....they look sooo beautiful though....xxxx

Kitchen Elegance

What do a builder, engineer, 2 x fabulous designers have in common? Ahhh take one look....the ability to completely change the look & feel of a space....the kitchen was a disaster...

It was in desperate need of TLC....So down a wall went, beam in & old kitchen out! As soon as the wall came crashing down light just streamed through....!

We decided to give this kitchen a neutral palette of soft greys, a punch of charcoal...butchers handles....vintage American school house pendants....internal laundry....stained walnut floorboards......what more can one want???

Art Deco Meets DITC...

Well its been way too long since we blogged, I often wonder where the year has gone....so we travel back in time to the Art Deco period with the famous DITC twist...please enjoy this bathroom as much as we do...Our client had one request to keep in in close tie with the Art Deco period of the building & not to sway too far from this....with that in mind I think we found our special place in the design world - anything vintage or past styles & trends we tend to feel at ease with! Do I say this every time - yes "but I think I will just have to move in..."
